Tom Watson was named The Greenbrier’s Golf Professional Emeritus in 2005. Watson first visited the resort for the 1979 Ryder Cup Matches and annually returns to host his partnership outing. Watson also hosts the Tom Watson Fall Golf Classic, a pro-am event played on two of the resort’s championship courses. The Greenbrier is an award-winning, luxurious resort with over 50 recreational amenities, located on 6500 acres in West Virginia’s scenic Allegheny Mountains. The Greenbrier Classic, a PGA TOUR, FedExCup event, debuts in July 2010.
